Connect an existing Roster to a Team

The standalone Roster Captain who also captains the independent Team

When you’re done

An Organizer can review a claim to adopt the existing Roster.

This is a legacy recovery workflow, not an alternative way to create a Roster. Unlinked legacy Rosters cannot enter new competitions. If rollout conversion skipped your Roster, review the report with an Organizer before proceeding.

Use a claim when your League already has the Roster you want to compete with. Creating another Enrollment would create a different Roster instead.

1. Check ownership

Sign in as the Captain of both the existing standalone Roster and the independent Team. The Roster must not already belong to another Team.

2. Request the claim

Open the League Roster's page and use its Team-claim control. Select the independent Team and submit the claim.

Heir creates a pending Enrollment and invites current Roster members who are not yet on the Team. The existing Roster stays unchanged while the claim is pending.

3. Complete Member consent

Ask each invited player to accept their Team invitation. Before approval, every current Roster member must belong to the Team. Direct legacy Roster removals are retired. If an incumbent must no longer play in the League, an Owner or Organizer can explicitly block them under Manage League → Rosters & enrollments → Player eligibility, with a reason and audit record. This releases their legacy Seat; reload the claim preview afterward. The block applies to all of their Rosters in this League, not just this claim. Other ownership or conversion conflicts still need review; do not silently bypass consent.

Check your Team's Priority order as well. If the new seat order would displace a current Roster member, the Organizer must explicitly review that consequence.

4. Ask an Organizer to review

The Organizer uses Manage League → Rosters & enrollments → Review. Follow Review a Team Enrollment for that side of the process.

After approval

The Roster keeps its League history, while Membership and Captain selection follow the Team's Priority and the League's eligibility rules. Direct Roster invite/remove/captain commands no longer manage those seats; use Manage Team → Members.

If you cancel

Withdrawing a pending claim leaves the existing Roster unchanged and cancels only invitations created by that claim. It does not remove unrelated Team invitations.
